Mike and Harriet McManus founded Marriage Savers in 1996 as a way to combat the increasing divorce and cohabitation rates in the U.S. They believed education from those in our faith communities who had been successful at marriage was the best way for the younger generation to divorce-proof its own unions.
Marriage Savers has taught thousands of couples around the country the skills they need to gain the winning edge in marriage — communication and conflict-management skills.
Their latest book, Living Together: Myths, Risks and Answers, questions popular beliefs about the affects of cohabiting before marriage. They spoke with CitizenLink about the issue.
